Over two-day 'mini-break', you will ride through the stunning and world-acclaimed Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails network. We'll make the most of your time with us, on and off the trail. What makes our 2-Day Experience unique? On day 2 you will visit the dramatic 'Mount Paris Dam'.

In winter, Derby dials everything up. The definition of ‘green’ gets re-defined by our forest, the sparkle in our night's sky captivates your imagination… and the trails, let's not forget how well they ride through winter. Our Winter Experience is based around the structure of our Iconic 3-Day Experience, but we re-jig our itinerary and activities to work to the natural strengths of this time of year. If you haven't tried riding in Derby's winter yet, it's time you did. What makes our Winter Experience unique? A unique riding itinerary and a bespoke winter menu, including a lake-side campfire pre-dinner canapés setting and star watching session.

This is the ride that we are most famous for, and justifiably so. The tour is mostly downhill (sorry, yes that was mostly!) so hold on and enjoy the ride. Our local guides will take you on one of the ultimate mountain bike descents possible in Tasmania with a total drop of 1050 vertical metres. Starting in the alpine ski village at 1450 metres, this awesome trip takes you down the spectacular Jacobs Ladder road before connecting to old four-wheel drive tracks through the eucalypt forests. There is now a fantastic new single-track section which only has one small up hill before continuing downhill all the way to the Ben Lomond Alpine Resort BASE where we regroup for lunch. All tours depart on demand. Tour duration is 6-7 hours (including transport from Launceston and return). Tour cost is AUD295 and includes transfer to/from Ben Lomond, lunch and snacks, bike and helmet or meet us at The Ben Lomond Alpine Resort Base for $255.
