They proudly support local growers and producers with a menu crafted for sharing and enjoyment among friends and family with a communal atmosphere. A vineyard crafted high on the slopes of the Coal River Valley near Hobart in Tasmania, Caledon Estate produces exceptional cool climate wines. Set amongst the gum trees, overlooking the village of Richmond, the vineyard nestles comfortably amongst its natural environment. This family-owned, single-site vineyard offers you wines that are reflective of their unique, panoramic site and can be enjoyed in our architecturally designed cellar door. We are open 10-5pm to visitors for wine tastings and offer a wine bar menu featuring local produce including oysters and local lamb. All Caledon wines are proudly grown and made here with love in Lutruwita/Tasmania.

Coaldale Walnuts is a multi-generation family business sustainably producing walnuts and pickled walnuts in the Coal River Valley, Tasmania. On a farm tour of picturesque property near Richmond, you can learn about the family business and see how they grow and process their walnuts and pickled walnuts. The tour includes a short walk to view the orchard (around 80m over mostly flat ground), and a look at the grading and cracking machinery. At the end of the tour, you will taste the premium walnut kernel and pickled walnuts with crackers and cheese. Tours can be booked online, or for help booking contact Coaldale Walnuts directly.
