Starring Delia Hannah and Tyran Parke From Cats to Evita, Mary Poppins to Les Misérables, Mamma Mia! to Aspects of Love, Delia Hannah has long been one of Australia's most luminous musical theatre stars. In this intimate and deeply personal evening, she reflects on her remarkable life in song and story – joined on stage by Australian Musical Theatre Festival Artistic Director Tyran Parke. A story in itself, Tyran and Delia's connection began when a young Tyran – just 11 years old – sent fan mail to Delia after seeing her as Fantine in the original Australian production of Les Misérables. A tribute to the letters that spanned decades and saw Delia and Tyran transition from pen pals to artistic collaborators, Seeing is Believing celebrates a woman whose talent shaped a generation, and the profound ripple effect of inspiration between artist and audience.

The Frogs is Sondheim's splashiest, silliest comedy – complete with bickering gods, opinionated frogs, and an underworld that feels far too familiar. Dionysus drags his long-suffering sidekick to Hades on a hare-brained rescue mission, only to find himself in a showdown between Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw. Based on the Ancient Greek comedy of the same name written by Aristophanes in 405 BC, with a witty score, trademark Sondheim harmonies, and a ton of slapstick comedy, The Frogs is a rollicking musical that offers a serious message on the important role of the arts in a struggling world. In this AMTF-exclusive production, Australia's brightest stars join forces with emerging artists for a semi-staged, fully ridiculous performance. It's absurd. It's tuneful. It's unapologetically weird — and enormous fun from first splash to final bow.

AMTF invites audiences into an intimate, unique conversation with one of Australia's most beloved musical theatre icons, Nancye Hayes AM. Streaming live via Zoom from Melbourne — where she is currently appearing in Anastasia — Nancye joins the Festival as both celebrated artist and cherished patron for a warm, personal exploration of the songs that shaped her remarkable career. Hosted inside Launceston's newest boutique listening bar, the Dill Pickle Club, the event pairs Nancye's stories with the original cast recordings, vinyl treasures and musical theatre gems that influenced her journey from young hopeful to national treasure. Audiences will hear anecdotes from her six decades on stage, reflections on the artists who inspired her, and behind-the-scenes memories from some of Australia's most significant productions. Equal parts conversation, celebration and communal listening experience, A Musical Theatre Mix-Up offers an unfiltered encounter with a legend of the stage — all set within one of Tasmania's most atmospheric new cultural spaces. This is a rare opportunity to connect with Nancye Hayes in a format that honours both her extraordinary artistry and the music that made her who she is. The Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery is proud to present Billy Missi'n Wakain Thamai, a national touring exhibition presented by NorthSite Contemporary Arts in partnership with Torres Strait Regional Authority's Gab Titui Cultural Centre (TSRA), and toured by Museums & Galleries Queensland. This is a profound exhibition honours the late Torres Strait Islander artist Billy Missi (1970-2012), born on Mabuiag Island. He was deeply influenced by the storytelling, song, and dance traditions of his Wagadagam Tribe. Beginning in earnest in the 1990s, his artistic journey combined traditional carving techniques with modern linocut methods, creating a unique aesthetic that earned international recognition before his passing in 2012. Billy Missi'n Wakain Thamai honours Missi's artistic legacy and his dedication to maintaining the language and culture of his people. The bilingual exhibition features diverse forms of printmaking and a film, presenting an immersive experience into contemporary Torres Strait Islander culture and customs. This significant touring exhibition has been assisted by the Australian Government's Visions of Australia program and will travel Australia from 2025 to 2028, sharing this immense exhibition with 13 galleries across Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia.
