Marion's Vineyard is one of Australia's most spectacular vineyard sites. Established in 1979, this first-generation family business opened Tasmania's first cellar door in 1983. The vineyard grows Pinot Noir and Chardonnay alongside Syrah, Tempranillo, Mavrodaphne, Cascade and Cabernet Franc, and also produces Pinot Gris, pétillant naturel (pet nat) and sparkling wines. Guests can relax on the deck overlooking the Tamar / Kanamaluka River or in the vine-covered Taverna while enjoying locally sourced platters and estate wines. Marion's Vineyard is also a unique setting for life's special moments. Surrounded by breathtaking vineyard and river views, we welcome intimate weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, private celebrations, and corporate gatherings. Whether you're marking a milestone or bringing loved ones together, the vineyard provides a warm, memorable backdrop for every occasion. Now in its second generation, the vineyard is committed to organic and biodynamic farming, with minimal sulphites added. With the exception of the last two vintages, its wines are certified organic. As Northern Tasmania's first commercial-scale vineyard to achieve organic and biodynamic certification, Marion's continues to champion sustainable viticulture through environmentally conscious practices, from lightweight bottles to composting toilets, ensuring this remarkable property can be enjoyed for generations to come.
