Join in on this breathtaking photography tour into the wilderness of the Takayna / Tarkine and improve your skills in photographing wildlife, nature, and stunning landscapes. This tour is suitable for beginners, intermediates, and professionals alike. The Tarkine Wilderness is a place that must be seen to be believed. It consists of entirely untouched, cool temperate rainforests and the wild and rugged west coast of Tasmania. It's a place of mystery and incredible beauty. Within the Takayna / Tarkine region, you also have an array of untamed wild rivers, coastal heathlands, and incredible cave systems - all this inside a 447,000 hectare region. For 5 days, you will immerse yourself in this wilderness. Daily photography tuition will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how to capture nature at its finest.

Embark on a seven-day birding and wildlife journey through southern Tasmania, exploring the remote Southwest Wilderness, Bruny Island, Maria Island and Hobart's nearby hotspots. Shaped by more than 10,000 years of isolation, Tasmania is home to 12 endemic bird species, including the forty-spotted pardalote, Tasmanian native-hen and green rosella as well as the critically endangered orange-bellied parrot. Along the way, you'll wander through buttongrass moorlands, tall wet forests, coastal heathland and sub-alpine habitat in search of island specialities, migratory waders and secretive scrub-birds. Nocturnal outings may reveal Tasmanian devils, eastern quolls and long-nosed potoroos, while Maria Island offers exceptional mammal viewing by day.

Flinders Island Cabin Park is set on 2.5 acres of beautiful park-like grounds and provides a range of self-contained; fully equipped studio, one and two-bedroom cabins. Combined with their rental vehicles, they can tailor holiday packages to suit singles, couples, families and groups. The Lodge and Cottage are spacious two-bedroom cabin's that can sleep up to four people. They have a large living area It is perfect for a couple that would like a bit of extra space, families or two couples. The Deluxe Cabin is spacious and comfortable with queen bed, ensuite and fully equipped kitchen as well as its own private courtyard. The one-bedroom cabins are larger than the studio cabins with separate bedroom and dining area. The cosy studio cabins are fully self-contained one-bedroom en suite cabins and can be configured with a double or two single beds. All cabins have recently had heat pumps installed The newly built pavilion and BBQ area is an ideal spot for gatherings with friends and guests.

Baileys Lane is just a five minutes' drive from Whitemark, Flinders Island's main centre, it's off the Lady Barron Road and down a short lane. Set in a large grassed area, this north facing property reflects its 1950s origins. Decorated with an eclectic mix of contemporary art and 1950s retro and with sculptural works in the grounds, the property is set for a relaxing break. There are three bedrooms with a mix of king or queen size beds, two toilets, two showers, well three, if you count the hot outdoor shower. There is a separate lounge and a large kitchen, living area. It's full of light and space with lots of atmosphere, you can enjoy the morning sun and the sound of the magpies. There is a gas cook top/electric oven, heaps of bench space and the romance of a slow combustion stove, where you can cook great roasts - if the fancy takes you. The house is fully equipped with all the usual things to make a great holiday including two bikes, tennis racquets, board games, an eclectic range of coffee table books and novels!! It's a great place to entertain or just sit outside and take in the views of Mt Strzelecki. Baileys Lane also offers guests an edible garden and seasonal fruits like apricots and mulberries, and pears. Free wi-fi available.

The Interstate Hotel offers en-suite hotel accommodation and a self-contained apartment in the centre of Whitemark. The hotel has been operating for over 100 years and offers standard hotel rooms upstairs. Most rooms have a television, en-suite bathroom, and double/ single beds. All rooms have a window overlooking the sea or the mountain ranges. The ground-floor apartment has five rooms, as well as a kitchen and lounge area. The hotel is suitable for small groups or couples. The hotel is situated on the main street close to all commercial facilities that you may need and is also only a small walk to a safe swimming beach, BBQ area and jetty.
