A trip to Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park is not complete without visiting Freycinet Lodge, for a few nights, a day or just to take in the view. The Lodge offers four and four and a half star accommodation within Freycinet National Park, along with two restaurants and a casual bar. This is the only accommodation and dining available in Freycinet National Park and the view from the balcony is spectacular. To protect the delicate environment, the timber cabins and Coastal Pavilions, hidden in the She Oak forest, are linked by raised boardwalks. Freycinet Lodge is a great base from which to explore the area, including the famous Wineglass Bay, Hazards Beach, sea kayaking, cruising and more. E-Bike hire is also available. Nearby, you can explore the Freycinet Marine Farm, the seaside villages of Bicheno and Swansea and acclaimed cool-climate wineries. You can sample the best Tasmanian wines or whiskies with a tasting experience at Freycinet Lodge as well as dinner at The Bay Restaurant or Richardson's Bistro.

Freycinet National Park Camping Ground offers basic powered and un-powered campsites near Coles Bay. Some sites are available all year and some are only available over summer and Easter. Only the main campsite at Richardsons Beach has powered sites. Due to the high demand for campsites, a ballot system operates from the 18th December until the 10th February and for Easter each year and is decided by a ballot system drawn in early August. Applications should be received by Freycinet National Park by the 31st of July and must be made by letter/fax/email. Successful applicants will be notified by mail. Ballot entry forms can be downloaded at: www.parks.tas.gov.au/camping In addition to camping fees, campers are required to have a valid Tasmanian National Parks Pass. Shops and other facilities are located at Coles Bay, a ten-minute walk away. Bushwalks to Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula commence from the car park four kilometres away. Availability of drinking water can vary throughout the year, check this prior to your arrival. The Freycinet Visitor Centre is at the entrance to the Park and is open daily from 0900 to 1600 and staff will assist you with your enquiries.

Freycinet's Beachfront Retreat offers the perfect location in Coles Bay and base from which to explore Freycinet National Park. Set on the waterfront with direct beach access you can relax and enjoy 180 degree views of the spectacular Hazards mountain range and Great Oyster Bay. This is unbeatable! From the back gate at the waterfront side of the property, you are a two minute walk from the secluded Richardson's Beach set in the world renowned Freycinet National Park. This is a fabulous swimming beach perfect for families. In the other direction, a 5 minute walk takes you to an excellent, well stocked supermarket, a post office and a wood-fire pizza restaurant and cafe. Coles Bay is nestled in the world renowned Freycinet National Park. It is a must on any trip to Tasmania and its unique location offers a wide range of activities to suit all interests. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life at our charming holiday house, where we invite you to unwind without the distraction of WiFi. While we understand the significance of this modern amenity, WiFi is not available at this property. Embrace the opportunity to fully connect with your surroundings. The fireplace can only be used from May to September for safety and logistic considerations.
