Getting to Hobart from the airport is quick and easy. The drive takes about 20min. Taxis are available from the rank outside the terminal, and Uber is also available. SkyBus runs regular, low-cost airport transfers to the city, departing every 30min daily. Car hire is available at the airport.

Hobart’s neighbourhoods each have their own vibe, and most are just a short distance from the city centre. The CBD is ideal if you want to be close to attractions, dining and the waterfront, while nearby Battery Point offers historic charm and postcard-worthy streets. North Hobart is good for restaurants and nightlife, South Hobart is an active and artsy suburb near Kunanyi / Mount Wellington, West Hobart has many great cafes, and Sandy Bay is known for beaches, parks and coastal feel.
